Именно так можно охарактеризовать итоги визита чешского министра иностранных дел Карла Шварценберга в Республику Молдова. Комментируя состоявшиеся в ходе официального визита в Молдову переговоры господина Шварценберга с молдавскими властями, посол Республики Молдова в Чехии Штефан Горда отметил их высокую продуктивность. Чешская делегация во главе с Карлом Шварценбергом в ходе переговоров обсудила ряд тем, среди которых - современное состояние молдо-чешских отношений, политическая и экономическая ситуация в Республике Молдова, был затронут вопрос о реформах, проводимых нынешней молдавской властью.

‘Visa dialogue' is less about visas than about finding the best way to secure legitimate interests.
The debate on visa liberalization for the EU's neighbors is highly politicized. Arguments in favor of ‘fortress Europe' often clash with arguments against the emergence of a ‘Schengen wall'. But this debate starts from a false premise. The real question for the EU is not whether it should liberalize visas for its neighbors, but rather how it can best secure its legitimate interests – the effective management of people's movements and the construction of a common European area of justice, liberty and security. |

The Moldovan government and the development partners have signed the 2011-2013 assistance programme for Moldova worth 1.936 billion euros (2.6 billion dollars). Prime Minister Vlad Filat and EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle signed the document in Brussels today.

The United Kingdom will be a friend of Moldova within the European Union. This message was conveyed to the Moldovan authorities by Peter Rickets, Permanent Under Secretary of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, head of the Diplomatic Service, at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Iurie Leanca. The Moldovan official was on a visit to London on 26 February - 1 March.
