In accordance with the previously announced diplomatic agenda for February, this week, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca will visit several European capitals.
Thus, on February 9, the Minister will meet in Vienna with the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Michael Spindelegger. In the Austrian capital, also, a meeting with representatives of the Moldovan diaspora living in this country will take place.
On the same day Iurie Leanca will visit Bratislava with a two-day official visit. The agenda includes meetings with several officials in Slovakia, including Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak, Deputy Speaker of the National Council Ciz, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the National Council Juraj Horvath and Minister of Interior Robert Kalinak.
On February 10, Iurie Leanca will attend in Brussels the meeting of the North Atlantic Council in the format "28 + the Republic of Moldova". The head of the Moldovan diplomacy will meet with 28 ambassadors of the Alliance, with whom will exchange views on the process of implementation of the Moldova-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP), as well as about the actions undertaken within the framework of cooperation with NATO. Iurie Leanca plans also a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. During his visit to Brussels Minister will meet with the deputy director general of the Deputy Director General for External Relations at the European Commission Hugues Mingarelli.
Also on February 10, Minister Iurie Leanca will hold in The Hague bilateral meetings with the Minister for European Affairs of the Netherlands Frans Timmermans and the head of the Office for Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Joke Brandt. |
